New Scribner books for High School Literature courses
AMERICAN CHARACTER SERIES
This new unit, part of Scribner School Paperback series, consists thus far of six literature anthologies that are abundantly rich in the integral spirit and feeling of Americana. These books, prepared primarily for use in American literature courses, have been designed to supplement a literature anthology or be used in place of one. Each book is a complete in-depth study of a particular subject, includes many selections that are not available in standard collections, and contains study material.
By SSP 31 (1973), the series name had changed to Scribner Student Paperbacks.
